Using my ReliefHeat:

  1. Where is the Power button?
    1. ReliefHeat is controlled exclusively via the app. The ON button is on the Home screen (the main screen that comes up when you launch the app once you are signed in).
  2. Can you help me with the Bluetooth connection?
    1. First, please verify that your ReliefHeat is matched to your account by going to Settings > “Match my ReliefHeat” and following the instructions to “Match a new ReliefHeat” if you have not done so already
    2. Once you have Matched your ReliefHeat, return to Settings and you can connect to it using the toggle switch next to “Bluetooth”. Please also make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your phone’s settings.
    3. Your ReliefHeat device will go into sleep mode when it is not being used and does not detect any motion.  We recommend that you hold/wear ReliefHeat while connecting in the app in order to ensure that it is awake and ready for a Bluetooth connection.
    4. If your ReliefHeat's battery is completely dead, you will not be able to connect via Bluetooth.  Try charging your ReliefHeat if you are unsure of the battery level.
    5. Force-quitting and then re-launching the app is a good way to reset the Bluetooth connection if the above suggestions don't solve the problem.
  3. Can I put my ReliefHeat in the washing machine or dishwasher?
    1. No, ReliefHeat is not waterproof and should not go in a washing machine, dishwasher, or anywhere else it might get under water. To clean it, we recommend wiping down with a damp cloth.
  4. What temperature and session length are best for me?
    1. When you start using ReliefHeat, the app automatically personalizes the temperature and session length based on what you told us about your back pain when you created your account. However, if you decide to change anything, the app will remember and use those new values every time you use ReliefHeat going forward.
  5. How do I change the session length?
    1. Start a session and then just click on the timer and choose your desired session length. If you want ReliefHeat to stay on until you decide to turn it off (no set end-time), choose the ∞ symbol at the end of the list.
  6. Should I wear my ReliefHeat over clothing or directly on my skin?
    1. We recommend wearing it over 1 layer of clothing but you are free to use it however you like best. Note that the same temperature setting will feel warmer if you have ReliefHeat directly against your skin than if you have layer(s) of clothing underneath it.
  7. The app is being weird - what do I do?
    1. Please force-quit the app - just double click the Home button on your phone and then swipe the ReliefHeat app tile up and off the screen. Then you can re-launch the app.
  8. What is the deal with Pulsed Heat? What does that toggle in the Settings do?
    1. Your ReliefHeat can provide warmth in pulsating waves or continuously at a steady level. We recommend turning on the Pulsed Heat, because it generally does a better job at preventing desensitization and promotes improved blood flow, but whatever works best for you works for us!
  9. My ReliefHeat belt is too long for me - what do I do?
    1. Just fold the long side of the belt in on itself so it doesn’t extend underneath the colored part of your ReliefHeat when you put it on.

    1. ReliefHeat is available in two sizes: (1) waist sizes up to 36 inches and (2) waist sizes from 36-48 inches. You can select your size at checkout and ensure that it is in stock
